Creating a blog and being happy with the result isn’t as easy as I hoped. This will definitely be a work in progress for a while. Baby steps will be enough for now. My intent is to use this blog to showcase my original knitting designs, which are available for purchase through my Ravelry Store. I’ve posted my first designs on Ravelry already and am anticipating my first sale with great excitement. A few of these designs are:

Forest Frost Headband:
This headband was created as a sample project for an introductory cable class that I plan to teach through my local Guild this winter. It is quick to knit and cute to wear. Techniques include increasing and decreasing, cables derived from a celtic plait, and buttonholes. The pattern is available for free through my Ravelry store.
Honeycomb Cable Socks: ![](https://i0.wp.com/2.bp.blogspot.com/_YRY-9cW-z90/SYYpJEkxBzI/AAAAAAAAABE/YjTI2aZwqaw/s200/DSC_0003.JPG)
These socks are the product of my first original sock design. They are heavily textured in a honeycomb and simple cable pattern which, combined with a robust sock yarn, creates a thick and cushy fabric. Techniques include basic sock construction and cables. The pattern includes detailed instructions and charts and is available through my Ravelry store.
